We are a small, family-owned online sales company specialising in military collectables and surplus stock. We operate an online eBay store as well as our own website and direct sales shipping out of our office in Holbury, Southampton. (SO45)

Job description

Postage and packaging: We post hundreds of parcels a week. Your main job will be to wrap the parcels and book them for collection through the online system every day.

Administrative duties: Our online shop gets dozens of enquiries every day. Your role will include reading these messages and replying to the queries in a polite, professional and timely manner. You will also be required to keep stock of our office supplies and fill out an order for more when required.

Working with stock: We list new items every week. Part of your job role will be to organise and take photographs of new stock.

Experience is a bonus but full training will be provided.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, punctual, reliable and enthusiastic, with good attention to detail, good communication and organisational skills. An interest in militaria or history would be advantageous but not essential.

You must have good computer skills. Experience using MacOS is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

You must be proficient in English and have good literacy and typing skills, as you will need to communicate with our customers in writing via email or online messages, as well as answer the phone occasionally.

You must have a level of physical fitness, as some of the items we send are on the heavier side (10-15kg).

Successful candidates will be interviewed via video call, then candidates progressing through to the next round will be invited to our office in Holbury for a chat in person.

Job location is our office in Holbury. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Full time hours are 37.5 hours a week. Part time hours or a flexible working schedule will be considered for the right candidate, and salary will be paid pro-rata, but we do have a Royal Mail collection at 4.30 - 5pm, which you will be required to be present for on certain days.

Start date is ASAP, but again, can be flexible for the right candidate. In case of successful part time applicants, 2 positions may be available.
