This is a an odd adaptation of a WW2 British Army Gas Mask.

Someone has added an inner-tube to a gas mask hose and created some type of breathing device.  Clearly it is not professionally made and we believe that it would not work - but it looks interesting and would attract attention if put into a display.

We do not know anything about the purpose of this - it simply came to us with other items from a collection.
