This is an interesting one. Off hand we would say it is Luftwaffe blue all over, there is no evidence of any other paint colours. However, on the left side there is clearly a shield decal. This would normally indicate an army helmet, however with this colour it makes no sense, so perhaps Kriegsmarine? Not sure, but a very interesting and nice helmet to display.
This helmet came out of a collection in Carentan, Normandy. We have no specific history with the helmet, but the collector only bought locally so we know it is a Normandy helmet.
