This is a really nice original set that has been beautifully framed by the previous owner. We bought both this and the other EK2 medal from the same collector. He had lived in Germany in the 80s/90s and bought them both locally from families.
This medal was awarded to Lieutenant Edgar Raspe on the 3rd of March 1945 so was likely awarded for action during the continued retreat towards Berlin. We have not researched it further but it would be well worth the time.
The medal is of 3 piece construction as it should be and is in overall very good condition.
